It is known that Jhené has only two siblings- an older sister named Miyoko and a brother named Miyagi. All these numerous heritage invariably means that the acclaimed singer is of multiple ethnicities. On the other hand, her mother, Christina Yamamoto’s origins can be traced back to Spain, Japan, and the Dominican Republic. Jhené’s father, Karamo Chilombo, was a pediatrician of Jewish, African-American, Native American, and German-American descent. She was christened Jhené Aiko Efuru Chilombo by her parents who raised her in Century City neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. The American singer was born on March 16, 1988, in Los Angeles, California. It was rumors used as publicity and promotional tool by Sony and Epic Records who represented her at the time. Around 2002 when she began her career, Jhené was purported to be related to a member of B2K – Lil’ Fizz – but it was later discovered that the claim is false.
